Lyrics, the way they’re sung.
Word-by-word lyrics for whatever you play on Spotify or Apple Music, in an Apple Music style player. An unofficial iOS version of the Spicy Lyrics extension, free and open source.
Needs iOS 17 or newer. Installs with AltStore or SideStore.
Lyrics follow the singer word by word, with the same smooth animation as Spicy Lyrics on desktop. Tap a line to jump to it, or long-press it to copy or share.
In duets each singer gets their own side. Backing vocals sit under the main line, and instrumental breaks show three bouncing dots.
The background is the album cover, slowly flowing like liquid. Swipe sideways to change songs, pinch to make the text bigger.
Swap the lyrics for a large cover with the line being sung right under it.
Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian and Greek can be shown in Latin letters, and any song can be translated line by line.
Pick the font, size, boldness, alignment, glow, blur and background. Simple Lyrics Mode keeps the motion calm.
Picture in Picture keeps the current line on screen while you text, browse or play a game.
Try it: drag the window, tap it, or open an app.
Plays along with the Spotify app. Needs Spotify Premium and your own free Spotify developer app. Sweet Lyrics walks you through making one in about two minutes.
Follows the Music app on your phone. Just allow access to your music library. Crossfade and AutoMix transitions are handled too.
Sweet Lyrics isn’t on the App Store. You install it with AltStore or SideStore, free apps that install apps with your own Apple ID.
You need an iPhone or iPad on iOS 17 or newer, and a Windows PC or Mac for the first setup.
Follow the guide of either one. AltStore keeps using a small helper on your computer to refresh apps; SideStore needs the computer only once.
In AltStore or SideStore go to Sources, tap +, paste this link and tap Add.

Open in AltStore Open in SideStore
Add the test channel instead. You get every build as soon as it’s made, so it can be buggier. Add only one of the two links: they install the same app.
https://github.com/Sppqq/sweet-lyrics-ios/releases/latest/download/altstore-source-testing.json
Open the source, tap Sweet Lyrics, then Install. Updates show up under My Apps, and your settings stay.
Open Sweet Lyrics and pick Spotify or Apple Music. For Spotify the app shows every step, and it takes about two minutes.
With a free Apple ID, apps you install yourself need a refresh every 7 days. AltStore and SideStore do it for you.
Spotify lets each developer app be used by only 5 people. So instead of sharing one app, everybody makes their own. It’s free and takes a couple of minutes:
spicylyrics-ios://callback, tick Web API and save.Apple Music mode needs none of this.
For the most exact timing, let Sweet Lyrics talk to the Spotify app on the same phone. In your app on the Spotify Developer Dashboard open Settings and tick iOS as well. Add the Bundle ID shown in Sweet Lyrics under Settings → Sync → If it won’t connect, and the redirect URI spicylyrics-ios://callback. Then sign in again if the app asks.
With a free Apple ID, apps you install yourself work for 7 days and then need a refresh. AltStore refreshes them on its own when your computer with AltServer is on the same Wi-Fi; SideStore does it on the phone. To refresh by hand, open My Apps and tap Refresh All. A free Apple ID can have only 3 such apps at a time.
